If you want to shoot both .223 and 5.56 ammunition with your UXR, Omaha Outdoors sells the PWS UXR 223 Wylde 14.5 conversion kit. Features include a 41V50 steel 14.5 inch barrel with a tapered shoulder near the muzzle, which ensures proper fit and alignment of muzzle devices; the new bore evacuator, which pushes leftover gas out the front of the barrel and away from the shooter; and a pinned and welded FRC compensator with QD attachment for suppressors. After testing, primary Weapons Systems designed the long stroke piston operating system, which showed it was much cleaner. Now, they have introduced the Xchange system, enabling the shooter to quickly change calibers and barrel lengths on their new modular rifle. The PWS UXR 223 / 5.56 conversion kit is designed to use 556 and 223 ammunition without concerns of overpressure. It contains the barrel and bolt, with the magwell sold separately if needed.
