It features the superior long stroke piston operating system, slightly modified for this new design. Some of the features include a 41V50 steel 16 inch barrel with an M-LOK handguard that can be swapped out for shorter-length barrels, the new bore evacuator designed by Primary Weapons Systems that directs gases toward the muzzle, reducing the risk of backward gas flow, and a newly designed FRC compensator for reduced muzzle rise. Other features of the PWS UXR 5.56 include a 3-position adjustable gas system with a dedicated suppressor setting, a TriggerTech single-stage trigger that is adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds, and an ambidextrous adjustable folding buttstock attached to a 1913 Picatinny rail section.
