Omaha Outdoors has the PWS MK116 Compound rifle, which is a combination of a Mod 1 upper receiver and a MK1 Mod 2 lower receiver. Primary Weapons Systems designed the revolutionary long stroke piston operating system after discovering that it produced less fouling and required less maintenance than the more commonly used gas impingement system. It features a 16 inch barrel, a PWS anodized M-LOK handguard, and an FSC 556 muzzle device. It’s chambered in 223 Wylde, designed for using 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington ammo, without overpressure concerns while maintaining accuracy. Additional features of the PWS MK116 Compound rifle are the 3-position adjustable gas system with adjustment tool, an enhanced buffer tube with castle nut and endplate with QD mount, a Mil-Spec enhanced trigger that is PTFE coated, and a Radian Raptor ambidextrous charging handle for smooth, intuitive operation by both right and left-handed shooters.
